I recently worked on an ambitious project with a social media-fueled news outlet called SparkNews. We produced a special publication about innovators making an impact on the world’s various social problems with their ideas and solutions.

On June 20, we published in 20 newspapers in 20 countries around the world, including France, India, South Africa, Kenya, Lebanon, Brazil, and more.

The story I wrote about a mine-detonating tumbleweed invented by a young Afghan designer made it into Le Monde. (English version here)

You can also check out my other story about one of the latest movements against food waste in France, Disco Soupe (in Times of India).

Great articles- Americans couldn’t have Disco Soupe parties. What’s yummy about leftover chicken strips and mac and cheese?

    1. The Disco Soupe events mainly use unsold vegetables donated by vendors and distributors, so no (or fewer!) worries about health concerns that come with using/serving meat.
